Wiener Dog Races

There were over 220 dachshunds racing for the trophy! The doggies were a little overwhelmed by the chaos so we basically held them the whole time. It's a good thing we had extra arms! At one point they ended up in Tyce's stroller. They seemed to really like it there.

Spike was too nervous to race so Sprout was our designated runner. Here's what the course looked like. One owner held their dog at the starting line, and the other cheered for them to meet them on the other end.
Here they are snuggling and getting rested for the race. Sprout was #147 so we had to wait 1 1/2 hours until it was her turn.
I held Sprout at the start, and Beau cheered for her to come greet him. We are in the lane directly in the middle of the picture. Ready... set... GOOO!!!
Sammy was also freaked out by all the other doggies when we took him. He either hid under our chair or in our lap the whole time.
